I love this photo and reblog it as often as I can! There’s such a sense of trust and that feeling of ‘I’m here for you’ and the understanding of ‘I know you are,’ not to mention the implication of the intimacy that exists between them, the comfortable, reassuring way her hand touches her shoulder, the almost insecure but now safe way she clutches her fingers and not her whole hand the way a child would their mother. The obvious contrast, (one Black one White), of their obvious similarity, (both women). Throw in the fact that both women are absolutely gorgeous, their bodies amazingly beautiful, feminine, representing what ‘Real’ women look like, and you have a photo that speaks to so many important parts of a much greater whole…
